Day 1: Bangkok

Arrival Bangkok international airport, meet & Assist, departure to your hotel in Bangkok

Day 2: Damnernsaduak Floating Market- Dinner cruise along the ‘River of Kings’.

Breakfast at hotel . Depart to Ratchaburi province, for the village of Damnernsaduak, about 110km from Bangkok. First visit a coconut plantation to see harvesting and handicrafts, then on to Damnernsaduak, surrounded by a network of khlongs (canals) that radiate out into the orchards and gardens in the surrounding countryside. Daily, local farmers gather fruits, vegetables and prepared dishes and trade them along the canals to the drop off point at the market wharf. Seasonal fruits on offer include mango, jackfruit, rambutan, the notoriously pungent durian and many more. Optional boat hire is available at the market wharf to explore the narrow canals. Further optional visits include a Snake Farm, an Elephant ride, and the Royal Thai Handicrafts workshop. On return to Bangkok the tour terminates via a visit to the Jewellery Shop.

You will be welcomed aboard the White Orchid River Cruise at River City pier with a fruit cocktail drink. Set sail along the Chao Phraya River, also known as the River of Kings, to Rama VIII Bridge. View the city by night from a riverside aspect and have a unique opportunity to take snapshots of the illuminated prang of Wat Arun on the Thonburi bank of the river. On the opposite bank in Bangkok you will see the glittering Grand Palace and the holy temple of Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha) in all its night-time finery. Enjoy a buffet dinner with a selection of Thai and Western dishes. Take the dance floor if you please, to the accompaniment of the live band, or relax on the open-air deck in the evening breeze.

Day 3: Oasis Pampering

Day 4 : Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple – Phuket

After breakfast departure to visit Grand Palace. Grand palace Tour: The Grand Palace was established at the same time as Bangkok in 1782, by the first king of the ruling Chakri dynasty. Each subsequent monarch has added their own contribution to the complex, so that it represents the full range of royal architecture of the Rattanakosin (Bangkok) period. Some of the buildings represent traditional Thai themes, whilst others have distinct European features. Within the palace grounds one can find the temple commonly called Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the small but holy figure of the Emerald Buddha (actually fashioned from a type of jadeite). The figure was discovered in a Chiang Rai temple in 1436 and has travelled since to Lampang, Chiang Mai, Luang Prabang and Vientiane. The tour concludes with a visit to a jewellery retailer.

Day 5: Phuket Free day – Fantasea show

Breakfast at hotel. Free day at leisure. Afternoon Fantasea show. FantaSea Theme Park is devoted to the cultural heritage of Thailand and attempts to illustrate it in an easy and fun way. Enter through the Fantasy Village, whose shop facades illustrate the architectural achievements of Siam. There are pageants, handicraft displays, elephant rides and a games centre. The restaurant offers a Thai and International buffet, with dinners served by ‘kinarees’, half human-half bird. The auditorium (Palace of the Elephants) boasts top-flight acoustics and hosts the highlight ‘Fantasy of a Kingdom’ show. The performance follows a mythical figure, the Prince of Kamala in his quest for ‘Thai-ness’. The magnificent extravaganza sees him pass several tests on his way to this goal and this being the palace of the elephants, expect to see a few appear and disappear before your eyes.

Day 6: Phi – Phi Island by ferry

Breakfast at hotel, departure to visit Phi – Phi island. The Phi-Phi islands in Had Noppharat Thara National Park, 48km east of Phuket are amongst the most renowned in the Andaman Sea. Transfer to the Fishery Authority Port of Phuket to board the boat bound for the isles. The tour starts with sightseeing on board around Phi Phi Ley Island closely passing by Maya Bay (where the famous scene of ‘The Beach’ movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio took place), Loh Samah Bay, Pi-Le Cove, and Viking Cave, where nesting swifts provide raw material for birds nest soup (no entrance to the cave by law). Disembark at the island of Phi Phi Don, board the long-tailed boat to Laemtong Beach (Long Beach) for leisure activities on your own – swimming, snorkeling, or maybe strolling up hill for a view over the isthmus. Buffet lunch is served at a local restaurant on Long Beach. Return to Phuket in mid afternoon and transfer to hotel.

Day 7: Free day – Royal Thai Spa

Day 8: Phuket Phang NGA ‘’James Bond Island‘’

Breakfast at hotel.Drive to the mainland province of Phang-Nga across the Sarasin Bridge, for a boat trip amongst the karst scenery of Phang-Nga Bay. We will board our bus to our first stop, Wat Tham Suwankhuha, where a cave temple with a reclining image of Buddha can be visited (entrance fee of THB 10.00 not included). Then sail on to Koh Tapu, with its island – pillar familiar to anyone who has seen the James Bond film ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’. Disembark at Koh Khao Ping Kan, where you can wander up the hill for some snapshots. Continue to the Muslim Village at Koh Panyi for lunch, nestled below the Peak of Panyi Island, with its wooden houses suspended above the sea on stilts, whilst a network of walkways connects the community. After touring the village, return by boat to Kra Som pier. There is time to visit a cashew nut factory shop and Gems Gallery before arriving back in Phuket.

Day 9: Departure from Phuket to Bangkok
