Marrakech, Morocco. Hovering around 22ºC, April is a wonderful time to visit Marrakech and the Jemaa el Fna. As dusk falls, the city’s main square comes alive with an eclectic cast of musicians, storytellers, fortune-tellers, henna-painters, acrobats and more.

8- Australia

Australia is one of the best places to travel in April, an ideal time to visit Uluru by hiking around the base of the rock, or the hike can be combined with the two-kilometres Mala Walk, which passes by rock art, caves and shaded pools.

9- Italy

Spent another spiritual trip at Italy; highlights include: the Scoppio del Carro on Easter Sunday in Florence, which involves a symbolic firework display outside the Duomo after midday Mass; and the Sicilian town of Trapani’s processions, particularly those on Good Friday.

10- Jordan

Jordan – the temperatures are warm without being too hot and there are flowers in bloom in the valleys and sprinkling parts of the desert. It’s a great time to do a spot of trekking in Jordan and spend a night in Wadi Rum, and of course, to visit the incredible ancient city of Petra.
